I have been away for a bit, but for good reason. I got married! It’s been an overwhelming experience trying to plan and coordinate everything, as well as getting family together. In the end, I am now married to my best friend, and I couldn’t be happier. We had a fall ceremony that turned into a Halloween party that night. It was tons of fun, and not your average wedding. The highlight of the wedding seemed to be my shoes, and Halloween socks. The ceremony was on a dock. I am not used to heels, and my converse sneakers kept me nice and grounded.
After all the wedding shenanigans we went on our Honeymoon. We ended up going to Asheville, NC. It’s a wonderful city. We got to try new restaurants, experience local scenery, and just relax. Everyone was extremely nice no matter where you went. The locals seemed to have a sense of pride in where they lived, and were excited to share with others. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, which was the cutest Victorian house where we got to have a new dish for breakfast every morning before we trudged out on our adventures around the city. I also dragged my husband to just about every yarn shop in the general area. He was a sport about it by going in with me, and assuring me it’s our Honeymoon to pick what I wanted. (special occasions seem to get special privileges haha). The Arboretum was also a site to see. It was huge area with hiking trails, and small exhibits. Our favorite was the Bonsai Exhibit. It had so many different types of Bonsai. I honestly didn’t know there were so many. Some looked like little trees for fairies. Time away was coming to a quick end, as work and responsibilities were approaching once again. We packed up our things, and came home. It took us a bit to get back into the swing of things. It seems the longer you are away the harder it is, but I am excited to be back to share more things with all of you. I do hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday, and at least have some time to spend with loved ones.
